How long does it take to setup my account?

 

Accounts are setup instantly if paid via EFT payments and will be manually processed once proof has been sent to billing@exceptionalhost.com. You will receive your welcome email with all the necessary details within an hour of your payment during business hours and up to 8 hours after hours.

My website is currently hosted with another provider, will you be able to move my data over?

 

Yes, we offer a free migration service, this process is streamlined by our expert technical support team! We will move your website files, databases, emails (if possible), etc. from your old web hosting account to your new Exceptional Host account. Once your order is activated, simply submit a ticket to migrations department requesting the migration. Please include your existing login details that we would require. This only applies to shared and reseller hosting accounts making use of cPanel. Please email migrations@exceptionalhost.com to discuss VPS migrations.

 

What is your minimum contract period?

Do you allow the hosting of adult content?

 

We have no problems in hosting adult e-commerce websites on our servers. However there are some restrictions on what can be classed as “adult content”; the content must be legal, and comply with SA laws. Anything that we consider too graphic or depicts the abuse of children, your account will be suspended immediately. Membership based adult websites/forums are strictly disallowed. I’ve been told to secure my shopping website hosting with an SSL certificate, how do I do this?

 

An SSL certificate is an encrypted method which encrypts any data between the server and the client. We can provide you with an SSL certificate for R440/year including installation. This price excludes the static IP address which will be required to run the SSL certificate.

 

What is your uptime guarantee?

 

We offer a 99.9%+ uptime guarantee as per our Service Level Agreement (SLA). If your site isn’t available 99.9% of the time within a given month, we will give you a pro-rated credit for the downtime.
